How does a rotary granulator work?
In our fertilizer disc granulator, material rolls and rubs inside a tilted, rotating drum. And then it forms a continuous “material curtain” flow. The curtain stays active, so mixing is fast and heat transfer is steady. We use the material’s own crystal water or its preheated physical properties, and we apply steam heating inside the drum or add a solid binder（such as Bentonite). Then fine particles start bonding, and a firm agglomeration reaction occurs.
Fertilizers granules grow by repeated layering, and they densify under constant compression. As a result, particle size increases step by step, and shape becomes more uniform. Finally, size differences do the sorting. Small fertilizer granules fall back and keep growing, but larger fertilizer granules discharge from the tail end and overflow in an automatic grading process.

What is the granulation technology of a rotary granulator machine?
